David Marsden (1938–1998) was a British neurologist who made a significant contribution to the field of movement disorders. He was described as ‘arguably the leading academic neurologist and neuroscientist of his generation in the UK’.
The call for submission for the David Marsden Award is open!
A couple of useful points about the award:
- it was introduced by Dystonia Europe in 2003
- it is presented every two years to stimulate research on dystonia, especially by young scientists in Europe
- € 10,000 is awarded
- for papers (i.e. manuscripts for original publication – no abstracts) on aetiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis or therapies in dystonia or on the psycho-social effects.
- deadline for submissions is 31 January 2021
