Currently participating disease oriented networks

The involvement of the existing disease oriented networks is crucial for the success of our ERN-RND bid.  The established infrastructures and network projects will be used to create an across network and across disease win-win situation. To ensure both an adequate representation of each existing network in the ERN-RND and to link the entire respective network to the ERN-RND, we will  employ a network architecture in which the existing networks are represented by a small number of respective key centers of expertise (that have to meet all the criteria as defined by the European Commission). The networks themselves will be associated to the ERN-RND to also establish tight links between the ERN-RND and the entire disease-oriented network. The following disease oriented network have joined ERN-RND by date:

  • European Network for the Study of Dystonia Syndromes,
  • Leukotreat,
  • SPATAX Network: Clinical and Genetic Analysis of Spastic paraplegia and Ataxia,
  • European MSA Study Group,
  • Brain-Team - French RD network focused on brain diseases,
  • Ataxia Study Group,
  • European Huntington Disease Network,
  • German Ataxia and HSP Network, and
  • Genetic FTD Initiative.
  • Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) study group
  • NBIA Network - Tircon
